Unlocking our chakras for living a life of harmony and completenessfeatured

The word chakra is derived from the Sanskrit word cakra, meaning “wheel.” It was first mentioned in the Vedas, ancient Hindu scriptures that date back to around 1,500 BCE.

Chakras are thought to be spinning wheels of energy. You can think of them as energy vortexes. These energy vortexes transport energy from the universe to your physical energy body.

There are 7 chakras:

Crown

Third eye

Throat

Heart

Solar plexus

Sacral

Root

These 7 chakras are located from the crown of your head to the bottom of your spine. The upper three (crown, third eye, throat) are considered the spiritual chakras. The spiritual chakras focus on our connection to the Divine,  Higher Self. The lower three chakras (solar plexus, sacral, root) are considered the physical chakras. They ground us humbly on Earth. Both the spiritual and physical chakras are interconnected by the heart chakra.

Each one of our chakras is associated with specific organs, glands, physical functions and emotions. When our chakras are in balance we can live harmonious lives. If a chakra becomes blocked, we will experience emotional, physical, mental, and/or spiritual distress leaving us out of balance.

Join as on this 7 week journey as we learn about our 7 chakras and ways to unlock our chakras to achieve a life of harmony and completeness.
